Wedding Day Rain is Good Luck
Bella Angel was on-location for Amy and her bridesmaids. Everyone was ready bright and early at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Old City, Philadelphia. Then the party headed to the Ballroom at the Ben for the ceremony. They were married under a beautifully decorated chuppah. It was a lovely rainy day which is said to represent good luck. Rain on your wedding day signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief.
The Dress
Amy looked absolutely amazing, in a simple strapless white gown. Her simple gown did not compromise on style. In fact, her wedding gown made a big statement with boning that curved along her figure and a full flair at the bottom. It was a bit chilly so she also added a beautiful faux fur shawl. The elegant veil was waist length and was trimmed in fabric that matched her gown. Amy certainly looked stunning beside her handsome husband to be.
The Makeup and Hair
Indeed less is more. Amy wore her bridal hair down with large waves and pulled back on one side. This hairstyle of course complimented her wedding dress. For makeup, we used Urban Decay. First, we used Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray. This primer certainly creates major staying power. Secondly, for foundation we used UD Stay Naked in addition to UD All Nighter waterproof setting powder. These two products also work very well together. On Amy’s eyes we used UD Backtalk Palette. We especially love this palette because it has shadows as well as blush and highlighter options. Finally, we finished Amy’s makeup off with UD All Nighter setting spray. She was ready to celebrate and dance the night away.
